This is why we calibrate and create ICC profiles with Xrite devices. All of us would bet $100 that the default monitor profile in Color Management is the profile being used. We do not know what monitor profile is being used in conjunction with the working RGB color space like I can see in the Serif SW. As you all know, there is no place to select a monitor profile to use in Color Settings in Photoshop. I still use CS4 for a few things and last night I noticed that an image seen in CS4 did not match the image as seen in Serif PhotoPlus. Very simple, the input RGB is broadcast through the monitor profile. This is a dialog box where an input RGB space (sRGB) and monitor profiles (NEC.icc) are chosen. But my color has not been better and more predictable since I began using Serif.) You can "turn on" a color management feature. Today, I use the last version of that SW before it became the very confusing AffinityPhoto. In 2012ish, I stopped using PS CS4 and began using the Serif PhotoPlus editing software. I just uncovered the answer to a question that has plagued me for years.Ī little background.
